When the screen first opens you will see the first page of menu buttons, which are the buttons that appear on the remote control screen. You can also select to view hard buttons, which represent the buttons that are physical and permanent on the remote control, such as the volume buttons. Move through the available groups of these buttons by using the numbered page indicators below the button layout.
You can easily move a button to another position on the current menu page. Simply click the button and drag it onto another, then release it. The other buttons will reposition to make room for the button you moved.
Click on any button to select it for editing.
1. After you select a button you will see the editing options available for the button and the data repeat settings for it.
The data repeat settings can also be adjusted for individual button functions here. Be careful here! While this can be helpful for fixing problems like a volume command that moves to quickly, incorrect settings can have a very detrimental effect on system usability. If you do make adjustments, make small ones and be sure to test them after downloading to the system.
2. If you need additional menu pages to place more functions, you may add them here. Click on Add a new page and an additional blank menu page will be added after the last page. Please note that if any page is left completely blank after you finish editing the device it will be automatically removed.
3. Finally, you can also add additional buttons to the device. Click on an empty button space, then click Add a button. In the edit window enter a name for the new button and then assign a command function to it by choosing one from the list, or create an automated activity for that button. Click Done when you are satisfied.
Continue to make as many edits to the device’s layout and function as you like. When you have completed your adjustments be sure to click Finish.
